I’ve been using H&H on and off for almost five years. Vans always in good condition, often available at short notice and staff are efficient and friendly. Best of all, whenever they can be they are flexible around me and often willing to go above and beyond to make my life a bit easier, always massively appreciated. I live on the other side of London now but still go back to H&H as i just know it will be easier and cheaper.
The service was great. Booking was easy and the guys at H&H helpful with finding the ideal solution for us. And all of that for a really good price.

These guys are awesome, friendly, no hidden costs and have amazing cakes and coffee at their reception. I’d recommend them to anyone and will definitely use them again.. I usually use streetvan but this works out cheaper and a helluva lot less hassle than streetvan..
Called H&H on short notice, they were able to accommodate me. The van was in good shape, clean and did the job perfectly. We were able to drop it off after hours, putting no time constraints on our day. The staff are friendly and get you on your way very quickly. Highly recommend H&H. The free coffe and Danish were a nice touch! You’ll be seeing me again soon!

I needed a transit van in an emergency as mine had broken down mid-deliveries. Stephen bent over backwards to help me and within ten minutes I was on my way in a clean new van. I hired a transit van for the day, the staff was very professional, friendly and helpful. They managed to explain evrything in a short amount of time and gave me good driving tips relating to the size of the van I hired. At some point during the day I was worried about a light on the dashboard control panel, they answered the phone straight away and reassured me by explaining clearly what it was, so that I could continue driving safely.
I would definitely recommend this company for their customer care skills!
Hired a 14seater mini bus for 24hours………………… the mini bus was great and staff were friendly ………… so all together a good experience………………… would deffo use again

I came across HH Vanhire while I was comparing prices for self-drive purposes.
From my initial enquiry I received fast, informative feedback, and as moving is headache in itself I decided that HH Vanhire was the way to go.
On collection day I was greeted by a friendly and professional team. There was a thorough-handover and within a couple of minutes I was off in a clean, comfortable van.

I recently hired a transit from H&H to move house , and hiring the transit was the least stressful part of the move . The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, the vehicle was modern and clean . Absolutely superb van hire, the best priced van hire I could find, but their unmarked van was spotless, inside and out, a pleasure to drive. Customer service was also excellent, very friendly and helpful. A delay in my journey meant I had to ask for a further day, forget the problems you may have elsewhere with other companies trying to do that, an immediate response of ‘Certainly, no problem’ was the answer.

Our Parish has used H and H for minibus hire for years for youth events and residentials. They are excellent, reliable and friendly as well as offering a really good price. There is no point in ringing round – we just book!
We hired a large mini bus off H&H and had no problems at all, it was all ready and very clean when we turned up and the mini bus was very new and presentable to use.

H&H are not only the cheapest minibus hire in London, but also the most friendliest and professional self-drive hire company. Their customer service is excellent, and they are honest and straightforward, no hidden costs or tricks to get more money from you. The minibus was very comfortable and reliable, and carried ten of us and our luggage with ease to Cornwall, all around Cornwall, and back home to London without any problems at all. We were very grateful for the Sunday drop off service, as we were too tired when we arrived in London Saturday evening to do anything. They were very understanding and said not to worry when we mistakenly parked the minibus in front of the gates on return, as we didn’t see the sign saying not to after returning the keys. What a friendly, efficient, professional, and helpful hire company! We are a very large family and will most definitely use them anytime we need a minibus to travel anywhere. The bottom line here is that HH Van Hire run such a slick operation it’s just nuts. They answer the phone in about 5 seconds flat. They 100% know their stuff. Throw them any question, they know the answer just like that.

And – Even though the engine on the Luton died, (not something that could have been caught on service either) we were given a courtesy car, upgraded on the level of car and they refunded the cost of the fuel that was left in the van when it broke down.
This all happened in SCOTLAND btw so kudos folks on having a good level of breakdown cover on your vehicles as well

They had run out of the van I originally wanted but offered the next sized van at the same price. The van was clean and ran well (even the sat nav) – I was given a guided tour of the van as I had never driven a transit before.

I used H&H to hire a minibus for a college field trip. They were very helpful with the booking and held my reservation whilst payment was sorted out through our finance department. Hiered a long wheelbase transit from h and h hire for a house move. my original hire period was for saturday and sunday as my circumstances changed at the last minute they allowed me to pick the van up on friday evening with no extra charge .the 24hour key drop box was also a big help as i was not under any presure in returning the van within a certin time period and avoiding fines which are common with other companys .
in summery is a well run company and you can tell customer service is high on their agenda.

This is my local van hire company, and I am proud and delighted that it should be that way. While I have grown ungracefully old and cranky since I first started hiring at H & H, the company (and more particularly the vans themselves) have been renewed constantly and are always in full working order. There must be something magic in the water in Bartholomew Road, because the lads in the depot seem to be forever young as well – they just get more efficient (if such a thing were possible, when they are always 100%) as time goes by . . .

Very quick and efficient service both when taking the vehicle and returning it. One small point was the limited availability of ropes, bungee cords etc. for securing items in transit.
Really had a great experience with the service, during the hire I called couple of time for some quiries, every time they picked up the phone under 30sec and answered me with a great care, it didn’t took long to get the car, it was nice and clean car, I was running few minutes late to drop back the car, but they didn’t charged me!!! I hired an H&H van for a self move in Cambridge in October. The hire administration was quick and helpful, and the collection and return painless. I felt the hire was excellent value for money. I went to H&H on a recommendation and I would use the company again.
I was a first time customer, only booking one van for a weekend, so on the surface, I wasn’t ‘worth’ much. H&H treated me like I was gold! They worked with me to meet my needs, and called me back several times when better packages became available due to changes by other clients.
I actually walked past a couple of other van hires on the way to pick mine up and wondered if I might have a ‘cheaper deal’. Maybe I would, but I would NOT HAVE GOT A BETTER DEAL! The Van was clean and worked like a dream. Top marks to a tight knit and motivated team. I’ll be back!

Other hire companies have you jumping through hoops, making up regulations, changing the goal posts on deposits, ID and their additional services or extras – non of that at H&H, they’ve always been straight talking and efficient, with all their staff knowledgable and well trained – unlike every other chain or independent hire company I’ve been too. And i’ve tried them all.

I have lived in the Kentish Town area for over thirty years and can’t actually remember when I first rented a van from H & H, but have always found them friendly, organised, competitively priced and have never had a problem with any of the vans I’ve driven.
Convenient location, competitive pricing and the fact they’ll hire to people like me who have only held their license for over a year (most seem to be 2 years minimum) made choosing these guys a no brainer. Reassuring to find the kind of personal service (oo err!) only a family business can provide in this world of faceless corporations. The free cake at reception is delicious too

I’ve rented from H+H a few times now, to take my daughter with all her stuff to/ from university, and each time it’s been a friendly and efficient process with helpful guys, with no time wasting. A common sense can hire service, run by normal people. The vans are always in good condition and the service is perfect. We would recommend them without a second thought.

Very happy with my recent weekend hire from H&H. It’s in a very handy location within walking distance from public transport. The team were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. They talked me through all the controls of the vehicle and provided some helpful tips for driving vans. They even went to the effort of putting a sticker inside the van with all the height and width measurements which I was very pleased to know given the amount of width restriction limits around NW London. They also let you drop the van back outside working hours. I needed the van to move house which was a pretty stressful time but the van hire was pleasingly stress free!
We recently bought some big bits of furniture on e.bay, pick-up only. H&H were absolutely brilliant. Advised on van size, easy pick-up, helpful staff…all family , convenient location….plus free sweets!!

I was greeted and looked after in your office reception area, the paperwork was explained and then one of your men took me out, located the Van, checked it all over, explained how everything worked, explained the procedure what to do when I returned the vehicle, where to park and where to drop the keys in the night safe and directed me to where I wanted to go in London.
The van itself was a joy to drive, easy controls, good runner, excellent high sitting position.
I had to take my son and his girlfriend to Canterbury in Kent, as they are students and were moving into new accommodation.

I’ve used HH maybe a dozen times now, mostly to move home myself or to help friends move home. I’ve hired everything from small vans, through SWB and LWB Transits, to (once) a Luton box van. All the vehicles have behaved perfectly, the only quibble I could possibly have is that they tend to have basic stereos – no listening to CDs on long moves! Obviously that’s a pretty minor point, and I’ve never had any actual problems during or after my drive.
The best thing about HH is that their service is easily the best of all the van-hire places I’ve tried in London (quite a few!). You can collect and drop off at times that suit you (you can even drop off at 4am, which I’ve had to do more than once), and their staff are always friendly and helpful. HH are always the first people I call when I need a van, and 9 times out of 10, I don’t need to call anyone else – even on short notice they almost always have something available.

They offered for me to pick up the van on Friday instead of Saturday for no extra charge because it came in early. Took 5 minutes to pick it up. Returned it and left the keys in the box. What more can you say really. Very efficient and very tidy job. Will definitely use them again.
Hired a Luton van for round trip to Yorkshire. Everything was fine with no problems whatsoever. The van itself was very reliable. Hire rates were the best I could find which helps!

I thought the service was excellent. Really good customer service – people who go out of their way to make things easy for you. The van was everything I hoped for – clean and functional, and it was minimum fuss dropping it back. I highly recommend.
With every other splitter van in the UK on its way to Benicassim or Latitude, we were lucky to find that H&H had one available for our festival gig in the West Country. This is a real no frills operation and all the better for it. There are no added extras, the staff are straightforward, the drop off is hassle-free and the van had a superb sound system. Thoroughly to be recommended. Will certainly consider using again.
Whenever I need a van I go to HH. They are really handy for the tube station, their prices are great, the team are so friendly and helpful. Everything is really simple and streamlined – there’s no hidden costs, they give you an idea how much fuel to refill with and it takes minutes to pick up and drop off. Just great.
Fantastic service. The staff were great – friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. There were no hidden charges or catches which surprised me and of course the van was great too!

what a very HAPPY accident it has been!

I recently just used HH for the second time and they were as spot on as ever. This is about as easy and painless as hiring vehicles gets.
Was also pleasantly surprised to see the new long wheelbase transits have a dashboard mounted gear stick as that would have been my only previous gripe on the one I got 3 years ago – so much more user friendly than the previous model!

My dad found H&H after using a lot of other van hire firms which promised a lot and quite literally delivered nothing; main problem was sub-standard vehicles which frequently left him stranded at the side of a road. He started using H&H and never looked back. On the basis of his experience, I now use H&H and have done for many years. The van was in good condition, and the service was excellent. My van had a CD player, which none of the vans I’ve hired from other companies have had (great for those long motorway journeys!). I had a minor question about the van on a Sunday afternoon which was quickly answered through the out of hours telephone service. I would definitely hire from H&H again and would recommend them to friends.
